John was founder and chairman of Corinthian Trust Company Limited, a Gibraltar based licensed Corporate Service Provider, formed in 2009. It sold its regulated client portfolio in 2020 to Acquarius Trust Company Limited, where he acted as a director until September 2023.

Corinthian Trust Company Limited has now rebranded as Corinthian Offshore Limited and through this he concentrates on strategic offshore matters and assisting international clients, using his experience and diverse network of contacts and professional relationships. He has a particular speciality in cross border forensic assignments and assisting high net worth individuals and families.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1976 with KPMG, he became one of the founding partners of a regional firm from 1980 to 1987. He considers himself to be one of the last “general” practitioners, attained through working closely with other professions, having good commercial expertise and a genuine interest in clients’ affairs and the people involved.

Until the early 1990s he was financial secretary of a large firm of Birmingham solicitors which had an office in Gibraltar and is when he started his involvement in the jurisdiction. He then joined a large UK family retail business and for 10 years was a key player in its development until in 2005 when he relocated permanently to Gibraltar.
